Elective courses & activities

Alongside the Core Courses, participants can significantly personalize their learning path by choosing from an expanded and enriched portfolio of Elective Courses, for a total of 12.5 credits.

Optional activities are also available - Company Internship, Study Tour, Exchange Study Program - which do not award credits but enrich the learning experience.

Elective Courses 2026

The Elective Courses (12.5 credits) are a key pillar of the Program and have been substantially strengthened and updated.
The portfolio has been significantly expanded, with the introduction of many new electives with a strong managerial focus, complementing the Program’s solid technical foundation.

Participants can now design a learning path that is:
  • more technical, by deepening actuarial and financial expertise,
  • or more managerial, by developing leadership, strategic and business-oriented skills.
The broader elective offering allows for a high degree of customization, making the Program flexible and adaptable to different backgrounds, interests and career goals.

Courses are shared with MBA, Executive Master students and Alumni from previous cohorts, creating networking and professional exchange opportunities.
The elective offering is regularly updated to reflect industry developments.

Students are required to accumulate a minimum of 12.5 credits by selecting their preferred Courses.

The Internship

The company internship (elective) provides hands-on professional experience with companies in MIB's partner network.
Particularly valuable for those coming directly from university, it offers an important opportunity for participants without prior work experience in structured corporate environments.

The Career Service prepares participants for professional interviews and facilitates connections with companies seeking to bring new talent into their teams. Many internships lead to long-term employment opportunities.

Study Tours

Generally Study Tours take place in Europe, in strategic cities as London, Munich, Milan. They may last from 2 to 5 days, offering opportunities to visit companies, meet managers and expand your network.

Exchange Study

Exchange Study Programs are intense and customizable experiences both in terms of duration and destination.
Continuing to study abroad at one of MIB Trieste's Business School partners adds value to an already international program and expands your network even more.

Please note that not every year it is possible to realize exchange study programs: it depends on the academic calendars of the other partner business schools, changing yearly.
