Elective courses and activities

Besides "Core" courses, participants can decide how to personalize their Master in Insurance & Risk Management, choosing from activities listed in MIB Trieste’s educational catalog.

Participants choose from various options (Elective courses, Company Internship, Study Tours, Exchange Study Program) to create their study plan.

Elective Courses are shared with participants in other programs, such as the MBA in International Business and Executive Masters, and sometimes with Alumni, from previous editions, allowing them to expand their network.

The list of Electives is constantly updated. Some courses may change before the beginning of the Master, to address current issues.
Choose a number of courses that provide at least 4.5 ECTS credits.

The company internship (elective) is an enriching way to enter the business community, especially for participants with less prior work experience.
The School's Career Service department helps students prepare for professional interviews and organizes interview opportunities with network companies interested in integrating new resources into their teams, often moving forward to further professional collaborations.

Generally Study Tours take place in Europe, in strategic cities as London, Munich, Milan. They may last from 2 to 5 days, offering opportunities to visit companies, meet managers and expand your network.

Exchange Study Programs are intense and customizable experiences both in terms of duration and destination. Continuing to study abroad at one of MIB Trieste's Business School partners adds value to an already international program and expands your network even more.
Please note that not every year it is possible to realize exchange study programs: it depends on the academic calendars of the other partner business schools, changing yearly.
