MIB: Social Life

An international environment full of opportunities

MIB Trieste isn’t just about study and work: outside the classroom the School and the participants themselves organize activities that make the educational experience a truly unique one. Sports, excursions, dinners, theatrical performances, and concerts, mean leaving the competitive atmosphere of the classroom behind and making room for complicity among friends from different countries.

These moments are at the heart of an all-encompassing, cross-cultural adventure that enriches everyone for a lifetime.

Sports: Body and Soul

Sailing

One of our most engaging extra-curricular activities is sailing especially given the history of Trieste, which is so closely bound to the sea.
Sailing at MIB Trieste School of Management is not only a sporting event shared with participants of Masters programs and alumni. It is also an important an important and innovative component of Outdoor training for outside companies, aimed at helping teams develop leadership skills and team spirit.

These experiences are important moments for exchanging roles, developing adaptability and reaction skills, and for overcoming limits and prejudices.

There are numerous Sailing Clubs and nautical schools in Trieste, allowing the School to offer this experience to those who have never sailed as well.

Football

In Italy and in the world football has become an international aggregator, a common "code." During the year, the school organizes several co-ed tournaments, the most intense of which is the MBA Cup, a tournament involving the best Business Schools in Europe.

Running

Many graduates and classroom participants love running, and what could be easier than starting directly from MIB, which is immersed in beautiful Farneto Park, one of the city’s green areas where many people come to walk, run, and play.
Trieste has hosted running events for years, and a record number of roughly 50 MIB students, alumni, staff, teachers give their all while representing their school at the annual "Bavisela" run in May.

Culture

Theater and concerts

Trieste has an ancient and deeply rooted theatrical tradition. The city boasts several fascinating theaters, two of which are of historical significance.
MIB offers season-tickets for concerts, theater, and the Opera.

Visits and excursions

During the year there are several visits to art exhibitions, guided tours to discover Trieste, its territory and its surroundings, and trips to neighboring Slovenia. These are excellent opportunities to learn more and relive historical moments, local customs and curious traditions.

Evenings Out

In this Master’s experience there are moments dedicated to fun and relaxation: the spring dance, dinners and culinary competitions with recipes from around the world, chess tournaments, aperitifs, tastings, a barbecue on the beach ... all moments to get together and enjoy the company!
