This course is designed to provide an introduction to derivatives and to risk management with emphasis on an integrated approach to risk at corporate level.
The course focuses on the contribution of the risk management process to a sustainable value creation for the firm and on the need of controlling and integrating risk into the main decision-making processes.
The aim is to provide a foundation towards the main approaches and tools (derivatives, for example) used in different kinds of businesses in order to identify and manage risk.
Applications are provided through an in-depth analysis on country, sovereign risk and export credit insurance, as well as some cases examining non – financial services firms.
The evolving VUCA risk landscape, risk management maturity and risk culture are among the covered topics.
The course will include a final tutoring session and a test.
