Private accommodations
Securing a place to live before your move is crucial for a smooth start to your new adventure. It's advisable to start your accommodation hunt at least two months prior to your move, especially if you have specific requirements.
How to Find Accommodation
Numerous websites cater to housing needs by connecting those looking for a place to those offering one.
However, be aware that many listings are primarily in Italian.
It's important to note that real estate agencies also post listings online, so always verify whom you're communicating with when responding to ads.
Reaching Out to Landlords
Landlords can be contacted via email or phone, as indicated online. For the apartments suggested by the School, contact details are provided by our Student Office, after selecting the accommodation of interest. Communication in English is typically acceptable.
Understanding Monthly Rent Costs
Rent is charged on a monthly basis and varies depending on the type of accommodation:
Deposit
Booking accommodation prior to your arrival often requires a deposit.
Apartment Furnishings
Flats typically come furnished with essentials such as a kitchen, beds, tables and chairs, a couch, and storage options like wardrobes and closets.
Before your arrival, it's advisable to ask the landlord about specific items provided in the apartment or room, such as pillows, mattresses, lamps, and bedding essentials (bed linen, blankets, duvets, etc.).
Most common housing websites
MIB Trieste has agreements with some flats, which are often used by its students.
These are private accommodations, managed by private owners and are not directly managed by the School.
The School's role is limited to facilitating connections between students and property owners, as well as offering assistance in establishing communication with them.
Please contact the Students Office for more information about flats and pricing.
