Short Bio
Cristian Galizzi is an accomplished financial services senior executive currently serving as Head of Business Division H5 Western & Southern Europe at Allianz SE. With extensive experience across four continents, Cristian has held key roles in both the first and second lines of defense, as well as Board Member positions for various insurance entities in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
Cristian's academic involvement spans his entire career, including roles as a university lecturer, teaching assistant, and research assistant in Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Corporate Finance, and Risk Management. He has contributed to esteemed institutions such as Boston College, Università degli Studi di Bergamo, and MIB School of Management. Cristian is also a sought-after keynote speaker at conferences, workshops, and institutional events.
Since May 1st, 2025, Cristian is leading strategy development, business planning, corporate governance, and incentive setting for H5 Western & Southern Europe, overseeing operations in Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Turkey, and Greece (total business volume of EUR 40bn and operating profit of EUR 3.6bn in 2024). He represents Allianz Group as a shareholder and directs a team focused on key priorities and on delivering value to clients and customers through product innovation, distribution, customer experience, and technology.
Prior to his tenure at Allianz SE, Cristian was a partner and sell-side equity analyst at a prominent Italian investment bank.
Cristian holds multiple Master's certificates from Boston College, Università degli Studi di Bergamo, and MIB School of Management, with expertise in business development, corporate finance, investments, risk management, and finance-related topics.
