Dr. Marco Schiattone
Global Head of Financial Risks
Everest Reinsurance, Zurich branch
Marco has a 24-year experience in re/insurance and joined Everest in 2023 as Global Head of Financial Risks. His mandate includes coordinating 20+ underwriters across five hubs, research, portfolio steering, business development, and ensuring underwriting consistency across Credit, Surety, Political Risks, Financial Guarantees, and Mortgage. Previous employers include Generali in London, the Italian Export Credit Agency (SACE) in Rome/Milan, Swiss Re and PartnerRe in Zurich. He was educated in Diplomacy and Economics (University of Trieste), International Law (The Hague Academy), Global Management (INSEAD), and he earned a doctorate (DBA) in International Finance at the École des Ponts - ParisTech (Sovereign Debt Sustainability of Low-Income Countries).
He leads a part of the Risk Management course, focused on Country Risk.
