Federico Scamperle, alumnus of the Master in Insurance & Finance, in collaboration with the Demographic Laboratory* of MIB Trieste School of Management, presents research study on the socio-demographic impacts of Covid-19.

The analysis highlights a rise in overall mortality, particularly among older age groups and vulnerable segments of the population, alongside a decline in birth rates. Additionally, the pandemic has had significant effects on individuals' psycho-physical well-being, with potential medium- and long-term consequences, including shifts in lifestyles and expectations.

This study provides a comprehensive overview of these dynamics, with a specific focus on their implications for life and health insurance, as well as for the provision of public services in Italy.

The initiative is part of the ongoing research activities of the Demographic Laboratory* at MIB Trieste School of Management.
