Andrea Romanino is the Director of SISSA - Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati, Trieste Italy - where he's also full professor.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Physics University of Pisa, 10/07/1997
- Degree in Physics University of Genova, 05/12/1992, 110/110 “cum laude”.

He arrived at SISSA as full professor of theoretical particle physics after his national and international experience:
- Postdoctoral research assistant at the University of Oxford, UK.
- Research associate at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, USA.
- “Ricercatore TD” at the Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa.
- CERN Theory Division Fellow and Associate.
- INFN/Pisa postdoctoral fellowship for theoretical physicists, University of Pisa fellowship for advanced studies abroad.

He is the author of 82 scientific publications (out of which 57 original articles on international refereed journals), in collaboration with, among others, the Universities of Harvard, Stanford, and Berkeley. He is among the “Top Italian Scientist” according to VIA-Academy (based on bibliometric data).
At SISSA he was Coordinator of the Physics area, research delegate, member of the Board of Directors and of the Senate.
He is chairman of the scientific committee of the Medialab company, has had positions at INFN and ICTP and has coordinated and was part of numerous European and national scientific projects.
His research interests focus on Theory and phenomenology of fundamental interactions.
