Christopher Parsons

Chris Parsons began his career with the Guardian Royal Exchange Assurance (now AXA) Group and joined Cass Business School in 1989. He has held positions as an Officer, Senior Examiner and textbook author for the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
He is a recipient of the CII Morgan Owen Medal and Prize for the best research paper produced by a member of the Institute, which has a world-wide membership of around 120,000 in 150 countries.
He is the author of two books on insurance law, contributes regularly to insurance and legal journals and lectures widely in the UK and overseas on law and insurance topics.
Chris is a former Editor of the Journal of Insurance Research and Practice and is Visiting Professor at Warsaw University of Insurance and Banking and the University of Malta. He received Cass Business School prizes for excellence in postgraduate teaching in 2008, 2011 and 2015.
In 2010 he was awarded the Geneva Association (International Association for the Study of Insurance Economics)/International Insurance Society Research Awards Prize for a paper on systemic risk in insurance, jointly authored with Cass colleagues Faisal Baluch and Stanley Mutenga.
