Future Vision for MIB Trieste School of Management Discussed at Annual Event

Strengthening partnerships, facilitating networking opportunities, and forecasting the future of MIB Trieste School of Management were key topics at the annual event hosted by the business school. The School's governance met with representatives from partner organizations to share visions and strategies, gathering valuable feedback for future strategic decisions.

Vladimir Nanut, Founder and CEO of MIB Trieste, welcomed attendees, emphasizing the importance of continuous engagement with partners: “This event aims to expose School's activities, gather strategic insights from partners, and promote networking. Our mission is to serve the business community by developing a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experiences for human capital growth. We are here to foster the development of future leaders.”

Deputy Mayor Serena Tonel highlighted Trieste's recent economic growth: “In the past five years, we've seen a 30% increase in new industrial investments and a 15% rise in tourism. This economic and social dynamism needs careful management and promotion. Trieste's geopolitical position and its commitment to innovation, both scientifically and economically, are strengths we must continue to support.”

Sebastiano Callari, Regional Councillor, added: “Our Region is honored to host prestigious research and educational institutions. Their activities enhance Friuli Venezia Giulia's attractiveness and drive development and innovation. Economic growth relies on high-quality education that keeps us competitive locally and globally.”

MIB President Cristiano Borean discussed the school's strategic direction: “We are evolving to keep pace with a rapidly changing world. With over 3000 alumni globally and significant enrollments in our programs, we plan to develop eight key areas over the next three years. Balancing insurance and risk management with general management, maintaining hybrid course formats, and focusing on data management and AI are crucial. Our goal is to sustain high levels of applied research and strengthen partnerships for greater community engagement and sustainability.”

Stefano Venier, CEO of Snam S.p.A., addressed current global business challenges, emphasizing the need for energy security and sustainability amidst complex crises: “We must balance energy security with a transition to a decarbonized future. Projects like the Adriatic Line and the SoutH2 Corridor in Italy will enhance gas transport and support hydrogen use, contributing to energy transition. Snam is investing significantly in biogas, hydrogen, CO2 capture, and energy efficiency to align with planetary health and future-proof our infrastructure.”
