MIB Trieste School of Management is both venue and partner for the first public event of the Southeast Europe Observatory, which kicks off its series of open conversations with an event dedicated to the roots of liberal thought.
"Trieste – Roots of Liberal Thought" is the title of the opening gathering, scheduled for Tuesday, 10 March 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00, at MIB Trieste School of Management (Largo Caduti di Nassiriya 1, Trieste).

The session will open with a welcome address by Vladimir Nanut, CEO & General Director of MIB Trieste, followed by an introduction from Valentina Superti, Director for the Western Balkans (ENEST WB) at the European Commission.
The panel brings together speakers of strong academic and institutional standing: Alberto Mingardi (IULM Milan / Istituto Bruno Leoni), Emma Galli (Sapienza University of Rome / Fondazione Luigi Einaudi) and Arrigo Bonifacio (eCampus University). Together, they will explore the intellectual origins of liberal thought, the Einaudian economic tradition, and the role of liberal ideas in shaping European integration.

The event is open to everyone, with a special focus on young people, as part of a broader ambition to build lasting connections between Italy and the countries of South-Eastern Europe.
The "Liberal Dialogues" series will continue in the coming months with stops in Ljubljana, Belgrade, Podgorica and Tirana, before culminating in the Annual Forum in Trieste on 15 September 2026.

Attendance is free, with registration required at www.seeobservatory.eu
