Interview with the Ambassador Renato Mosca de Souza

A conversation on the profound and growing ties between our two countries in education, culture, and international cooperation.

Education and academic cooperation as drivers of peace

MIB Trieste School of Management recently welcomed H.E. Renato Mosca de Souza, Ambassador of Brazil to Italy, for an institutional visit aimed at strengthening academic and cultural ties between the two countries
.
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the School’s strong international outlook and for the growing participation of Brazilian students—more than 120 have taken part in MIB’s programs over the years.
The meeting opened new pathways for collaboration, including the enhancement of the Origini Italia Program, increased engagement in international master’s degrees, and the development of new synergies in executive education.

During the interview, we discussed the deep and growing ties between Italy and Brazil, particularly in the areas of education, culture, and international cooperation.
At a time when peace is increasingly fragile and multilateral cooperation is under strain, promoting dialogue among nations has become more essential than ever.
Education—and especially international academic exchange—can play a crucial role in rebuilding trust, reinforcing shared values, and contributing to a more inclusive and peaceful global future.
In this context, the longstanding relationship between Italy and Brazil—further strengthened by the presence of over 30 million Brazilians of Italian descent—offers a solid foundation for meaningful cooperation.
