The MIB ETS Foundation
The Foundation, registered in the Single Third Sector Register (RUNTS), will focus on promoting scientific and social development through initiatives supporting education and research in fields such as:
- Management sciences
- Applied mathematics and Insurance
- AI and Data Science
- Sustainability and Environment
- Economic and Social Sciences

Activities
In particular, the Foundation may:
- promote and organize study initiatives, seminars, conferences, and publications on economic and managerial culture, either at the request of or in collaboration with public and private entities;
- promote and implement initiatives for young people to help facilitate their entry into the labor market;
- promote training, consulting, and research activities for public and private sector professionals to improve human resources, enhance the skills of those already employed, and retrain individuals seeking re-employment;
- award prizes and scholarships for studies or participation in courses, doctorates, and master's programs, including those at MIB Trieste;
- establish agreements with universities or academic institutions to carry out its research, consulting, and training initiatives, thereby enriching its scientific and cultural contributions;
- collaborate with other organizations that share similar objectives and participate with them in projects aimed at promoting business culture.
Board of Directors
The Foundation will be governed by a Board of Directors for the 2024-2027 term, consisting of faculty members from MIB Trieste School of Management who contribute on a voluntary basis. The Board will be led by Vladimir Nanut as Chairman, Federica Seganti as Vice-Chairwoman, Giorgio Valentinuz as Treasurer, Andrea Tracogna and Francesco Venier as Board Members, and Sabrina Marini as Secretary.
Benefits for Supporters
The establishment of the Foundation may open up new and interesting opportunities for collaboration with companies within the MIB Trieste network.
As a third-sector entity, it will be able to offer individual supporters, organizations, and corporate donors a range of benefits, including tax advantages—especially with regard to scholarships granted to participants in the Master programs at MIB Trieste School of Management.
For Individuals

Personal income tax (IRPEF) deduction of 30% of the donated amount, up to a maximum of €30,000 per year.

Alternatively, a deduction from total taxable income of up to 10% of declared income. If the donation exceeds this limit, the excess can be carried forward over the following four years.
For Companies and Entities (subject to Corporate Income Tax - IRES)

Cash or in-kind donations are deductible from the corporate taxable income, up to 10% of the total declared income. Any excess over this limit can be carried forward to subsequent fiscal years.
