Giacomo Campora has been CEO and Director General of Allianz S.p.A. since Jan. 1, 2018, and Vice President of Allianz Bank Financial Advisors.
Campora, from Milan, born in 1966, a degree in Economics from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and a Master of Science in Economics at the Scottish Doctoral Program, has served as General Manager of Allianz in Italy since 2011.
Giacomo Campora joined the Allianz Group in 1998 in Munich as Portfolio Manager, later moving to Merrill Lynch in the Milan, London and New York offices.
He rejoined Allianz Italia in 2001 in Trieste, as Chief Investment Officer of Lloyd Adriatico, where he worked in insurance and banking investments and headed the Group's SGR in Italy. In 2008, he was appointed Managing Director of Allianz Bank Financial Advisors S.p.A, leading its development for 10 years before taking the helm of Allianz S.p.A. in 2018.
