Short Bio
LEAN THINKING
Elena Bortolan has been involved since 1997 in a diverse and varied number of activities focused on lean enterprise concepts and practices. She has gained an important experience in running and transforming traditional companies, both in manufacturing and service sectors into lean enterprises.
She has been a consultant since 2001. Previously she was assistant Production Manager and later becoming Production manager for an electronic company. From May 2000 she was responsible for starting a new factory in Slovakia, a lean facility designed for the production of electronic boards (Contract Electronic Manufacturing).
With the consulting firm J.L. Larco & Associates, Inc. she has introduced Lean Enterprise concepts in a number of companies in Italy, Mexico, Canada, Romania, Poland, UK, USA, Australia, Slovakia, Germany and Malta.
Ms. Bortolan is a graduate of the University of Padova (Italy) with a degree in Industrial Engineering and in 2004 obtained her MBA from University of Bologna, Italy. Elena speaks Italian, English and Spanish. She lives in Italy.
