Laura Peressin is a full time lecturer of Finance and Risk Management at the Full-Time, Executive & Corporate Masters programs at MIB Trieste School of Management. Her main area of expertise is Corporate Finance. In addition, she coordinates the Risk Management Area of the School.
She is PhD in Corporate Finance.
For several years she taught Accounting at the Faculty of Law of the University of Trieste. In addition she collaborated to the teaching activities of the Department of Business Administration of the University of Trieste for courses of Corporate Finance, International Finance and Accounting.
At the time of her PhD, her main research area was the impact of high financial leverage ratios on firms’ value and the prediction of default. After joining MIB she developed her interest in risk management studies.
Her current research and teaching areas range from Financial Management to Company Valuation, Risk Management and Value Creation in Financial Services.
