Esteco SpA joins the MIB Trieste Consortium
ESTECO SpA, a software house founded in Trieste as a spin-off of the University that provides solutions for engineering design, is set to enter the MIB Trieste School of Management Consortium.
Esteco is expected to make a major contribution to the Consortium in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship.
ESTECO was one of the first spin-offs of the University of Trieste when it was established in 1999, and continues in first position for revenue and number of employees.
It is an emblematic case of how a research project can become a successful international business, with few precedents in Italy.
Today, Esteco, which is located in Area Science Park in Trieste, has over 100 employees, and subsidiaries in India and the United States.
Technology developed by Esteco serves a number of industrial sectors, however the core business is concentrated in automotive, naval and aerospace with recent investment in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences and Bioengineering.
