Participants visited the official residence of the President of the Italian Republic

Origini Programme visits the Quirinale Palace and Graduation
Participants of the 24th edition of the Origini Italia Program visited the Quirinale Palace in Rome, the official residence of the President of the Italian Republic.
The visit took place during the program’s final week, which featured the presentation of final projects and concluded on Saturday, April 5th, with the graduation ceremony at MIB Trieste School of Management.

The group, made up of 18 young descendants of Italian emigrants coming from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, and South Africa, traveled to the capital on a one-day trip from Trieste.
The Quirinale experience included a guided tour through the main ceremonial halls of the Palace, such as the Salone dei Corazzieri, the President’s Office, the Pauline Chapel, and the Hall of Mirrors, where official ceremonies of the President of the Republic take place. The Quirinale, a historic residence of popes, kings, and now presidents, is one of the symbolic landmarks of the Italian Republic, with over four centuries of history.

The visit offered participants a meaningful opportunity to connect with Italian institutions and reflect on the symbolic value of their bond with their country of origin. Entering the Quirinale, walking through its historic halls, and learning about its evolution—from papal residence to the seat of the King of Italy, and finally to the home of the President of the Republic—allowed them to grasp the complexity of Italy’s political, religious, and civic history. It was a concrete chance to better understand the role of the Quirinale in Italian public life and to strengthen their sense of connection to their roots.

Two days later, on Saturday, April 5th, the program concluded with the Graduation Ceremony held in the main hall of Palazzo Ferdinandeo, headquarter of MIB Trieste School of Management.
The event was attended by Vladimir Nanut, CEO of MIB Trieste School of Management; Stefano Pilotto, Director of the Origini Program; and Giulio Perini, on behalf of the Emigrant Associations. Regional Councillor Pierpaolo Roberti closed the ceremony with remarks, emphasizing the strategic value of the initiative in strengthening ties between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Italian communities abroad.

Throughout the week, participants presented their final business plans, developed over the five-month program combining classroom training and internships with Italian companies. The projects aimed to support the entry of Made in Italy products into foreign markets across a variety of sectors, including coffee, furniture, cosmetics, precision mechanics, lighting, artistic glass, and more.

The Origini Program, organized by MIB with the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, provides training in entrepreneurship and export management to young descendants of Italian emigrants. The goal: to foster professional connections between individuals, Italian companies, and the global Italian community.
