MIB ETS Foundation Established: Non-Profit Organisation for Social and Scientific Advancement

To support the right to education, research, training, and professional development

MIB ETS Foundation Established: A Non-Profit Organisation for Social and Scientific Advancement.
Initiated by MIB Trieste School of Management under the Legislative Decree no. 117 of 3 July 2017 (Third Sector Code), the Foundation MIB ETS is a non-profit organisation dedicated to civic, solidarity, and socially beneficial purposes, aligned with the School's activities.

The Foundation, registered in the Single Third Sector Register (RUNTS), will focus on promoting scientific and social development through initiatives supporting education and research in fields such as management sciences, applied mathematics, insurance techniques, AI and data science, sustainability, and economic and social sciences.
The Foundation's key activities will include promoting academic research, organizing conferences, publishing reports, and providing training and consultancy to enhance human resource development.
Additionally, it will award prizes and scholarships for courses, PhD, and Master’s degrees, including those offered by MIB Trieste School of Management.

The Foundation will collaborate with Universities and other organisations and will also open new doors for collaboration with companies in the MIB Trieste network.
Corporate partners that sponsor scholarships will gain significant benefits, including full tax deductibility of donations, as stipulated by Article 100 of the Italian Income Tax Code (TUIR): a valuable incentive for corporate partners to invest in education and research.

"The establishment of the MIB ETS Foundation marks an important milestone for our School," says Vladimir Nanut, Chairman of the Foundation. "Through this initiative, we are reinforcing our commitment to social responsibility and sustainability, promoting access to education, research, and developing skills necessary to tackle future challenges. The Foundation will allow us to contribute more directly and tangibly, not only to scientific progress, but also to the economic and social advancement."

The Foundation will be governed by a Board of Directors for the 2024-2027 term, consisting of faculty members from MIB Trieste School of Management who contribute on a voluntary basis. The Board will be led by Vladimir Nanut as Chairman, Federica Seganti as Vice-Chairwoman, Giorgio Valentinuz as Treasurer, Andrea Tracogna and Francesco Venier as Board Members, and Sabrina Marini as Secretary.
