MIB Trieste School of Management is proud to have supported an initiative launched by participants of the MBA in International Business, who took part in a clean-up day at Farneto Park—the green area surrounding our MIB Campus at Palazzo Ferdinandeo.
In collaboration with the Associazione Onlus Plastic Free, the Lions Club of Trieste, and with the patronage of the Municipality of Trieste, over 60 volunteers—including students, alumni, families, and local citizens—came together to care for a public space shared by the entire community. In just a few hours, they collected around 85 kilograms of waste.
The initiative stands as a tangible expression of the civic spirit and sense of responsibility that define our community: a meaningful act through which our students, coming from all over the world, contributed to the well-being of the local area and gave back to a place that plays an important role in the life of the city.
It was also a way for them to feel more connected to the community that has welcomed them warmly during their time in Trieste.
At MIB, we believe leadership is also built through active social engagement. This collective and voluntary effort shows how meaningful learning can happen well beyond the classroom.
We thank all the participants—and in particular Laura Fava, who coordinated the initiative—for their dedication and organizational efforts.
