Assicurazioni Generali is part of the DNA of MIB Trieste: it was one of the founders of the business school over 30 years ago.
Today, Cristiano Borean (Group CFO) chairs the School's Board of Directors. Generali serves in two Steering Committees, cooperates in the teaching activities, partners the School in recruiting and many other strategic tasks.
Generali is one of the School's main sponsors, and in 2025 it confirms also the international Full Scholarship for attending the Master in Insurance & Risk Management - 27th edition starting on 1st October 2025.
The Generali Scholarship covers the total cost of the MIRM program; it was established 8 years ago in memory of Diego Sastre García, a graduate of the Generali-MIB Master in Insurance, who prematurely passed away.
The goal is to give the best candidate, who fulfils the requirements, the opportunity to obtain the coveted Master's degree in Insurance & Risk Management, a powerful blend of skills, experience and connections, with a double degree (by MIB Trieste and by the University of Trieste, recognized by the MUR - Ministry of the University & Research).
The Generali Group Scholarship will cover 100% of the MIRM tuition fee.

The candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Citizens of member countries of the European Union;
- Academic degree in Economics or in a quantitative subject (e.g.: Finance, Business Administration, Actuarial and Statistical Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering);
- Good working knowledge of English and of another foreign language in addition to their mother tongue;
- Less than 28 years old as of 31st December 2025.
