Franco Bruni. The european economic and financial situation.

Inflation, risks of financial instability and recession fears.

Bruni. The economic and financial situation
The trends in the European economy causes concern among companies, institutions, families and investors. What steps should be taken to establish a monetary policy appropriate to the present period?
In the absence of advanced coordination of European financial and fiscal policy, what measures can governments take to deal with the threats posed by the conflict in Ukraine, rising prices, and shrinking investment?

To explore these issues in depth, MIB Trieste School of Management is organising a seminar.
The main speaker will be Franco Bruni, Professor Emeritus of Economics of Monetary Markets at the Bocconi University of Milan and Vice President of the Institute of Studies for International Politics in Milan, who has just published a book on these topics: "Beyond the Pillars of Hercules, Rethinking the Rules of Monetary Economics", Milan Egea, 2023.

An accurate analysis of European and Italian economic policy over the last fifteen years to help build programmes suitable for facing the challenges of the near future, through choices that are sufficiently courageous to restore the confidence of economic operators.
