MIB Trieste School of Management extends its congratulations to Professor Donata Vianelli on her election as Rector of the University of Trieste, the first woman to hold this position in the over one-hundred-year history of the institution.
An economist and Full Professor of Business Management, Professor Vianelli is currently Director of the Department of Economic, Business, Mathematical and Statistical Sciences (DEAMS). She has played a key role in the development of both the Department and the University, and has also been actively involved in promoting gender equality and inclusive academic environments.
This appointment is of particular significance to our School, given the longstanding and close collaboration between MIB Trieste, the University of Trieste, and the DEAMS Department. Over the years, we have developed a fruitful partnership, which includes the joint delivery of Master's programs, the promotion of research, and shared institutional initiatives.
Professor Vianelli’s appointment marks an important chapter for the University and offers our School a valuable opportunity to further strengthen our dialogue and collaboration in support of human capital development.
