AMBA Accreditation renewed: MIB Trieste among the international leaders in MBA education

Only 2% of higher education institutions worldwide hold this accreditation

AMBA Accreditation renewal
An important confirmation that places the School among the international leaders in MBA education.
Only 2% of higher education institutions worldwide hold this accreditation.

MIB Trieste School of Management is confirmed within the inner circle of business schools that are accredited by AMBA-Association of MBAs,, the highest recognition for the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The MBA in International Business, Executive MBA and Executive MBA in Business Innovation, achieve the high-quality accreditation requirements, confirming their position among the world's top MBAs.
Among international schools offering at least one MBA program, only a selected 2% worldwide receive this accreditation — which has been granted to our School for the maximum duration of 5 years.

AMBA was founded over 50 years ago, and is today considered the undisputed international authority for the evaluation and accreditation of programs offered by business schools around the world. It has conducted a careful analysis of the Master’s programs, of the School as a whole and of its connections with the economic fabric.

The AMBA accreditation is awarded following a rigorous, independent assessment that examines the impact of MBA programs on graduates’ career progression, the quality of the faculty, and the relevance of the curriculum to the strategic needs of today’s job market.
One of MIB’s distinguishing features is its strong international outlook: in its English-taught MBAs, international students represent over 50% of the class—and in the current edition of the MBA in International Business, they exceed 70%.
The average age of participants across the three MBA programs is around 35. The Executive MBA in Business Innovation stands out for the particularly high calibre of its participants: approximately half are entrepreneurs or start-up founders, and notably, one in three holds a PhD.

“The renewal of our AMBA accreditation for the full five-year cycle is not only a recognition of the strength we have achieved, but also a powerful incentive to continue innovating with consistency and vision,” says Andrea Tracogna, Dean of MIB Trieste School of Management. “In today’s globally competitive landscape, earning the full trust of such a respected body as AMBA confirms the quality of our educational approach and the value of a Business School model deeply rooted in the needs of companies and local communities. It also signals that our ongoing commitment to combining managerial relevance, academic rigor, and international openness is seen as truly distinctive. This outcome encourages us to move forward with even greater determination, fully aware that for a School like ours, quality is not a destination—it is a constant commitment.”

While this accreditation recognizes the School's work to date and the high quality of its strategic plan, MIB's MBAs are also confirmed among the most qualifying Master's degrees for students. This accredited degree can differentiate them from other candidates in the labour market. A concrete guarantee of return on investment for MBA graduates of MIB Trieste School of Management in the world.
It is the words of the graduates themselves that confirm the depth of the MIB experience—both professionally and personally.

From day one, walking into a classroom of just 30 students representing more than 15 nationalities, it felt like stepping into a trip around the world – says Eliza Cerveira from Boston USA, MBA in International Business Graduate in 2024. Different native languages, different professional backgrounds, and different ways of thinking—all learning together every single day”

“Just finished my MBA at MIB School of Management and it was valuable experience – adds Thi Trang from Vietnam to MIB Trieste. Through class sessions, projects and case studies, I not only gained knowledge but also learned how to apply it effectively in real-world situations. The class was filled with students from all over the world, making every discussion more engaging due to the diversity of perspectives. The professors were dedicated, highly experience. And they were always willing to share their insights, which kept us inspired throughout the program.”
