Alumni & MIB Trieste: together for the environment
MIB Trieste Alumni Volunteering Day
Sun. 10 April, 10:00 am
Barcola Fountain - Trieste
The next initiative of the Board of the MIB Trieste Alumni Association takes the form of a volunteer day open to the whole community: students in the classroom, graduates, friends, and families.
There is a lot of talk about environmental protection, climate protection, and possible developments shortly. The idea is not to stop at an in-depth study of these issues, which everyone can also carry out individually, but rather that of "putting their hands in the dough" to give concrete help in cleaning up a protected area, marine or terrestrial, from material residues.
Trieste – Pilot project
Sunday 10 April, from 10:00 am, we will dedicate ourselves to cleaning up the area that extends from the Barcola Fountain to the Miramare Castle in Trieste, collecting waste in plastic, glass, metal, or paper. The School will equip us with bags and gloves and a small snack.
The project is intended to be the first of a series to be implemented in many Alumni Clubs worldwide, with the help of our Ambassadors and Graduates in 5 continents.
It will be interesting to share photos of the areas, before and after the intervention, with the teams who have worked to make the cleanup possible.
We need support, so gather friends and families and join in!
I want to participate on Sunday 10 April in Trieste
The meeting will be at the Fontana di Barcola at 10:00 (map).
We expect a collection of about 3 hours, along the waterfront area from the Barcola Fountain to the Miramare Castle.
Of course, everyone will be free to return when they prefer.
The initiative is open to friends and families who are happy to contribute.
I would like to launch Volunteering Day in my territory
If you would like to launch a similar initiative in your city/area, please contact us, and we will support you in your project, to involve as many alumni and friends as possible.
