The Economic and Regulatory Scenario: Challenges for Europe and European Financial Institutions
This week, our School had the pleasure to host the second edition of the Seminar held by Professor Andrea Sironi, Chairman of Assicurazioni Generali.
His lecture, titled 'The Economic Regulatory Scenario: Challenges for Europe and European Financial Institutions,' was a testament to our commitment to providing valuable learning experiences to our students and faculty.
This year's attendees further emphasised the diversity and international scope of the student body at MIB Trieste School of Management. More than 20 countries were represented among the participants, and four of our flagship programs were prominently featured: the MBA in International Business, Master in Insurance & Risk Management, Executive MBA, and Executive Master in Insurance and Finance.
Professor Sironi's insights into the factors leading to the Great Financial Crisis, its various stages, and the aftermath, offered a comprehensive macroeconomic analysis.
His emphasis on the critical roles of the European Banking Union and the European Capital Markets Union in the financial industry was particularly insightful. Moreover, Professor Sironi's hypothesis on a proposed European Insurance Union to regulate and supervise large financial and insurance groups sparked significant interest.
Our sincere gratitude to Professor Sironi for the thought-provoking lecture. We eagerly look forward to future collaborations and are hopeful that such events will continue to be a part of our academic journey, and long-lasting partnership with the Generali Group.
