Always one of the most attractive activities of the School, the traditional Open Day also in 2024 confirmed itself as a moment of great visibility, recording a record number of participants, who wanted to closely discover MIB's educational offerings and spend a day inside the Ferdinandeo Palace headquarters.
Participants, interested in pursuing advanced training in business and corporate management, were welcomed by the greeting of Dean Andrea Tracogna and then had the opportunity to learn about the school's educational offer, which includes 5 Master's degree levels, of which 3 are MBAs, various specialized courses, and many Executive and Corporate programs for managers and companies.
They then received answers to their questions directly from the Program Managers, who provided detailed information on programs, admissions, and scholarships.
Interested parties also had the chance to discuss with the Career Center managers about post-Master placement opportunities and the support offered by the school for the career development of students and graduates.
The attention of the attendees was captured by the Masterclass on Artificial Intelligence led by the Executive area Director Francesco Venier.
"In the work and educational context, the emergence of AI requires the implementation of new professional profiles and innovative courses," - Venier explained - "such as the one dedicated to 'business translators,' a new type of manager trained to understand technological language and translate it into business terms, thus helping to create value through technology.
To understand the impact that AI will have on the world of work, consider that recent research has shown that in the USA, 80% of workers have at least 10% of their tasks exposed to generative artificial intelligence, while 19% are exposed for more than half of their tasks. However, such data should highlight that the risk is not losing jobs to Artificial Intelligence but rather to people who can use AI in a conscious and advanced way.
To the young graduates who attended the MIB Open Day"- Venier concluded - "I feel like suggesting choosing a professional path based certainly on their personal interests but also on the perspective of developing skills required by the market to solve problems, only from this combination can successful and satisfying careers emerge in a work world where continuous learning, updating, and curiosity to discover and learn new things will always be decisive."
The DEAMS, the Department of Economic, Business, Mathematical, and Statistical Sciences of the University of Trieste, also participated in the Open Day, with Director Donata Vianelli presenting the Department's Master's Degree course proposals.
