"Partnerships with key corporations such as Generali Group offer valuable insights and resources, contributing to the growth of the School and its extensive network", stated Andrea Tracogna, Dean of MIB Trieste School of Management and professor at the University of Trieste, highlighting the importance of collaboration with the Generali Group.
This statement was made during the Graduation Ceremony of the 7th edition of the New Role School "Actuary of the Future", developed by MIB Trieste School of Management and Willis Towers Watson under the direction of the Generali Group Academy. The Ceremony took place at Palazzo Berlam in Trieste, the headquarters of the Academy, and featured interventions by Cristiano Borean, Chief Financial Officer of Generali Group and President of MIB Trieste School of Management, and Alberta Zamolo, Head of Generali Group Academy.
The Actuary of The Future School is designed to elevate the traditional competencies of the Group’s actuaries. These professionals are central to the Group's activities, responsible for a rapidly evolving role facing increasingly complex challenges and requiring advanced multidisciplinary, technological, and managerial skills.
The program lasted 18 months, included 15 educational subjects, offered 330 hours of training in a hybrid format, and involved 35 lecturers. "In our approach to the New Role School, we have emphasized three elements that we consider fundamental for innovatively interpreting the actuarial role: understanding technological evolution, product innovation, and the ongoing changes in the insurance market. We have also integrated new areas such as business analytics, data science, and machine learning," Tracogna added.
The 7th edition of Actuary of the Future graduated 31 actuaries from more than 15 business units located in various parts of the world: Europe, South America, and Asia.
This initiative is part of the collaboration that connects MIB Trieste School of Management to the Generali Group Academy, which includes the New Role School "Accountary and Controller of the Future", in collaboration with EY, the partnership in the Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (established by Generali, MIB Trieste, International School for Advanced Studies - SISSA, University of Trieste and Udine, and the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics - ICTP), and other significant educational initiatives.
