Artificial Intelligence is on everyone's lips: a synthesis of technology and innovation par excellence, it is already part of our daily lives more than we can imagine. Thanks to its capacity for machine learning, data analysis and complex problem solving, it is revolutionising multiple sectors, from industry to healthcare, from finance to art, from education to services.
Its applications are constantly expanding, and the demand for highly qualified professionals in this field is growing.
MIB Trieste, aware of this growing demand, has decided to continue expanding a number of academic initiatives in this area, to prepare students, managers, entrepreneurs and professionals to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by AI, to master processes and dynamics that would otherwise be complex to manage.
For more than five years now, the School has been committed to integrating courses dedicated to specific Artificial Intelligence topics into the curricular programs of the MBA, Executive MBA and Master's programs. For example, in the Executive MBA program there is a course dedicated to Prompt Engineering (creation of optimal textual input that can be interpreted and understood by generative AI), which leads students to develop a chatbot.
Two areas of the MBA in International Business and Master's in Insurance & Risk Management programs have been expanded and made compulsory: Data Driven Management and Business Innovation, which, among others, include courses dedicated to Predictive Machine Learning (with Business applications), Big Data Management and Open Innovation.
The new Executive MBA in Business Innovation was also launched in 2020, focusing on topics close to the world of Deep Tech and innovation research and start-ups.
Also on the research front, a study on the state of AI in Italy is being carried out by the School's Executive Education area, with the involvement of various partners and the graduates themselves.
