Successful season for Wine Business Management participants

3 awards at the national level

Rewards WBM Alumni 2023
Double very important recognition for two Alumni of our School's Wine Business Management project, a continuously developing educational area.
Marko Primosic, who graduated from the second edition of the MBA in Wine Management, has received recognition for his 2018 Chardonnay Collio Riserva. This wine was awarded Three Glasses by Gambero Rosso and named Best White Wine of the Year. The 2018 Chardonnay Reserve received an impressive score of 98/100.
Marko and his brother Boris continue their family tradition by running the winery founded by their father Silvestro in 1956. The winery is located in Collio, known for producing world-class white wines.
In 2006, Marko Primosic successfully completed his Wine Management journey. Under his leadership, the winery experienced constant growth and garnered numerous awards. Additionally, the winery's structure expanded with the construction of new cellars and a new headquarters.
Another graduate of Wine Business Management, Robert Princic, has joined this exceptional tradition of Collio wines. He won Best White Wine of Italy with his extraordinary Friulano 2022, blind-tasting almost 2 thousand labels for Winesurf magazine.
The story of this Winery began when Robert Princic, after completing his studies in Oenology in 1997, decided at the age of 20, to open Gradis'ciutta, which grew out of the experiences of his grandfather and father, who worked in the vineyards to sell grapes to third parties for many years.
As part of this entrepreneurial path, Robert decided in 2006-2007 to enhance my management and business skills by obtaining a Master's degree in Wine Management.
Together with classmate Matjaz Cetrtic, a Slovenian producer whose vineyards are on Brda territory, a few kilometers from Princic lands, Robert created Sine Finis, one of the first examples of cross-border wine in Europe, combining Italian and Slovenian grapes, know-how, and resources from Gradis'ciutta and Ferdinand.
Another great story was born in our classrooms.

As a final highlight of this successful year of our Wine Business Management Diplomates in 2023, Cristian Specogna was awarded "Best Young Italian Winemaker 2023" by Vinoway Italia's Awards Committee, a panel of some of the most established and recognized wine experts in Italy. Cristian attended the WBM dedicated to Friulian producers, commissioned by ERSA FVG in 2011.
