The second edition of the School Accountary and Controller of the Future for Generali Group has just been launched

In partnership with EY

Onboarding second edition Acof
This week marks the beginning of the second edition of ACoF School - Accountary and Controller of the Future, a program developed for Generali by MIB Trieste School of Management in partnership with EY, with the key contribution of Generali’s Subject Matter Experts under the governance of Generali Group Academy.
This initiative is designed to foster a selected new generation of actuaries, accountants, and controllers across the Generali Group to enhance their financial expertise and business understanding in the context of the new regulatory requirements and metrics by combining new value-based accounting and actuarial approaches to better support the business.

As explained by Andrea Tracogna, Dean of MIB Trieste, ACoF is a professional School built by combining synergistically academic contents (provided mainly by MIB) with business best practices (provided mainly by EY). “It is to be underlined that EY and MIB have been working for decades with Generali Group, allowing us to develop the combination of knowledge, subjects, and practices on which the ACoF school Is based. It is EY-MIB's joint effort, it is the combination and exploitation of our complementarities, that shall make a difference for the ACoF” states Tracogna.

ACoF provides an academic journey encompassing diverse training methods and tools that blend theory and practical application.
With a distinguished faculty, it promotes individual and collaborative learning infused with engaging gamification.
Additionally, the course offers invaluable hands-on practice through project work guided by experienced Tutors, with a real-world use case at its core whereas Generali's internal experts' contribution to the course design and delivery helps put learning to work.
Participants are talented specialists, professionals, and managers from the Generali Group with a robust financial background working predominantly but not exclusively in CFO roles. The course enriches their skills by combining accounting, actuarial, and control competencies with a range of contemporary technical aptitudes, business proficiencies, and versatile soft skills, all guided by forward-thinking models, tools, and mindsets to ensure future readiness.

In his remarks, Cristiano Borean, Group CFO Generali highlighted the importance of the project for the Group : “I want to thank the Group HR Monica Possa, Generali Academy, Anna Chiara Lucchini and Alberta Zamolo who supported this idea. They understood immediately how needy this was for Generali, starting from the CFO area, and I thank MIB School, EY, which worked on the curriculum with the key contribution of the Generali’s Subject Matter Experts from GCFO area. The recent changes in regulation and standards introduce the need for a new professional profile with the capability to link and synthesize accounting, actuarial and controlling topics. This is the objective of the ACoF which is not only an opportunity but also a responsibility for the participants”.

After the first edition of ACoF School that started in April, at MIB we are thrilled to onboard the 38 participants of the second edition officially.
