BAT Trieste is a company of the BAT Group born with the specific objective of producing and distributing next-generation, reduced-risk, and nicotine replacement therapy products.
The international giant BAT launched the project for the "A Better Tomorrow™ Innovation Hub" in Trieste in 2021. BAT Trieste Spa will become a world-class centre of innovation and sustainability with a total investment of up to 500 million euros over the next 5 years and approximately 2,700 estimated job positions, both direct and indirect.
This Hub will host a new production center for reduced-risk products (products for nicotine replacement therapy), and a Digital Boutique, an innovation laboratory for digital transformation and digital marketing.
BAT is adapting the highest sustainability practices in building design and construction to reduce the environmental impact and be carbon neutral, with particular attention to energy efficiency, renewable sources, and environmental protection.
In its strategic development, BAT Trieste will strongly empower the local human capital and develop advanced skills for managing its innovative production and research Hub through educational projects. In this perspective, a collaboration with MIB Trieste School of Management and in particular with its Executive division will be developed.
