Head of Group Integrated Reporting and Cfo Hub
Massimo Romano graduated in 1994 (Summa Cum laude) with an Economics Degree from Trieste University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Italy in 1996.
He is a integrated thinking ‘evangelist’ and, with his team, is
implementing the Generali Group Integrated reporting framework.
He is leading the Group Integrated Reporting in Generali Corporate Centre whose mission is providing reliable and timely financial and pre–financial information to his stakeholders through an integrated process. His team is responsible of the Group and Assicurazioni Generali financial reports and for the all Pillar 3 regulatory disclosure and the Market Value Balance sheet, under Solvency II.
Massimo is Program Leader of Galileo Program, a strategic Generali Group portfolio of projects whose aim is to evolve the Group finance platform to deal both with the new regulatory requirements and to improve Generali Group capacity to manage all the strategic reporting processes.
Massimo is also active in a number of international working
groups on reporting issues:
- co-chairman of the Integrated Reporting (IR) Insurance network focusing on applying in the insurance industry;
- member of the Steering Committee of the European Insurance CFO Forum (‘CFO Forum’);
- member of Finance Committee in ANIA, Italian Insurance Association.
