Jacopo Zotti is an assistant professor of Economics at the
University of Trieste (Department of Political and Social
Sciences), where he teaches Microeconomics and International
Economics (BSc degree in International Sciences and
At MIB Trieste School of Management, his lecturing activity
covers topics in the area of International Markets and Economics at
the MBA in International Business.
His research interests lie in the area of international trade and globalization, environmental and resource economics and sustainable development. In his recent work, he has studied the environmental implications of dematerialization of economic growth. Currently, he is studying the nexus between circular economy and environmental quality.
In previous times, he served as an economist at the EU-Commission (JRC - Joint Research Centre), and he was an associate researcher at FEEM (Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei). He worked as an assistant professor at various European universities, where he specialized in dynamic and static economic modeling.
Professor Jacopo Zotti holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the
Karl-Franzens University Graz (Austria) and a Ph.D. in Transport,
Traffic and the Environment from the University of Trieste
